ENS Sivakamu (1924-2016)
The Village house looks empty now ...
The lady of the house Mrs Sivakamu, (92 years) is no more ...
My mother-in-law and Varthini 's mother who was living in this home for more than 70 years was unwell for some time and passed away peacefully on 28th night.
Few years back, she had decided and given her consent to donate her eyes to Aravind Eye Hospital and her body to the Gandhi Memorial Hospital for medical education and research ...
The last rites and the ceremony of handing over of the body was held here yesterday in the afternoon in this Village House through the Lions Club ...
She was well known and respected by all in our community and she was a very kind, generous, courageous lady with excellent personal and leadership qualities and a loving mother ...
She has been a source of inspiration and hope for many and during her life time she helped voluntarily many families at the times of need and her role in any manner big or small was so remarkable and the people would remember her for long ...

May her soul rest in peace ...

Thanks for your visit and your kind comments. I really appreciate your visits :)
I love photography. I am an amateur photographer.

I am touched by this poignant tribute.
Death is always painful...especially when it is of somebody close to us.
Praise her for what she was and emulate her exemplary qualities are what we can do.
The house has a sense of pathos ..a sad beauty in the emptiness here....
Thank you for the touching post...
Take care Sam ...
